CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Combination Classes

  • EARLY WORKOUT: Start your day with a great cardio and strength training workout at 6:00am. Class will vary according to the instructor. Cardio conditioning may include some kickboxing and easy to follow aerobic activity coupled with weight training using the free weights and bands. Some classes may include a circuit format.
  • BOOT CAMP: Get ready to sweat in this challenging class combining athletic drills with an easy to follow strength and cardio workout. Great for everyone, if you're new please keep the intensity down and use lighter weights.
  • BOSU CIRCUIT TRAINING: Change up your routine by alternating strength training and cardio drills for a challenging workout using the Bosu trainers.
  • CARDIO JAM: This class combines some aerobic hi/lo moves, kickbox and strength training all in one fun hour!

Mind/Body Classes
Valley offers more Mind/Body Classes than any other club in San Diego County!

  • YOGA: Our instructors will gently lead you through a variety of Hatha Yoga poses that will help increase your flexibility, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture and strength. We are very fortunate at Valley to have a variety of excellent instructors with different training backgrounds. Enjoy and learn from their varied styles!
  • PILATES MAT: Pilates core stabilization exercises will teach you to work the deep muscles of the abdominals and pelvis while improving flexibility, posture and strength.
  • YOGALATTES: Valley's own special blend of yoga and Pilates rolled into one class. This class will blend the stress-reducing postures of yoga along with the core stabilization exercises of Pilates. Great abdominal core training.

Cardio Classes

  • KICK BOX: Basic punching and kicking rout8nes combined with some high intensity aerobic moves that will improve your cardiovascular and strength endurance. Feel the power and have fun with these great boxing moves!
  • PURE BOXING: Become a Pure Contender with this awesome Boxing workout with our new pro Wayne. He will show you the proper technique for punching the heavy bags, sparring, and kicking in an intense real boxing workout that will work you like never before!
  • STEP BLAST: More Basic Step Routines combined with power moves that are easy for all fitness levels including beginning steppers. A 30 minute, easy to follow, high energy cardio step class that is great for all levels.
  • STEP IT UP: This class includes intermediate choreography routines combined with power moves that will work you hard! Please tell the instructor if you have not stepped before, this class is more challenging and is designed for steppers looking to increase their step skills.
  • DOUBLE STEP: Two benches are better than one in the awesome intense step cardio workout.
  • HIP HOP: Let John Sanchez take you through all the moves for this fun dance class. Learn high energy street dance moves performed to contemporary urban music.
  • INDOOR CYCLING CLASSES*: Jump on our indoor cycling bikes and take a fun ride with our awesome instructors. This class teaches outdoor cycling movements to great music for a motivating cardiovascular workout. Beginning to advanced riders are encouraged to attend as the intensity level can easily be adjusted higher or lower to suit all fitness levels.
    * Beginning riders please let the instructor know if this is your first time in class so the instructor can assist you with adjusting the bike and explain proper riding form and technique.

Strength Training Classes

  • BODY PUMP: The fastest way to get in shape! Body Pump is a patented awesome program using a barbell and plates. This class will burn fat, build lean body mass, and help define you like never before. Taught by certified energetic instructors, choreographed to great music, and guaranteed to give you a great time along with an incredible workout! BODY PUMP IS EXCLUSIVE TO PUREFITNESS EAST COUNTY - YOU WON'T FIND IT AT ANOTHER CLUB! Please sign up at the front desk as space is limited in this class, a small fee applies.
  • SILVERSNEAKERS I: A new class designed especially for the senior adult. Increase your strength and flexibility in a fun and safe fitness class.
  • SILVERSNEAKERS II: A class designed for those having mastered level one and are ready for a bit more challenge with safe cardio.
  • MUCSLE MAX: A muscle conditioning class that incorporates free weights, resistance bands, and body resistance to increase muscle strength and endurance.
  • ON THE BALL: A completely different way to train your body using a fit ball and free weights. Core stabilization on the ball will work you like never before.
  • POWER ABS: Work your abdominals for an awesome half hour workout!

    *Please note that a small fee is charged for the Indoor Cycling Classes and for BodyPump to help offset the costs of the programs.
